You obviously, you say you play since a long time but you don't seem to have a clue about the stat "defence" and its effect on your dmg, a thing that you could already know during codemaster time.
Also, its normal that you have variating damage value, another thing you don't know while it didn't changed since codemaster's archlord.
If you had a brain, you would have noticed that on my screenshot, i do both a critic of 2599 dmg, and a crit of 8495. Am i crying about that?
No, because its normal.
And seeing how the defence of the mob reduce my damage on them (almsot 6000 dmg reduced by their defense), its normal that if you don't do normaly over 6000 dmg (by exemple on green worms), the defence of the mob will reduce ALL your dmg, letting you with only 11 dmg.
Hey, wait a sec, look at your crit stat. You have 1100% crit dmg. WHich mean your dmg are multiplied by 11 to get crit dmg. Wait, its exactly the dmg you do on the mob, what a coincidence.
So you get a mob that absorb all your dmg with his def, letting you with only 1 dmg to hit him, which is multplied by 11 to get crit dmg. oh ho 1*11=11. What a miracle.
