Ego dupe has been around since the toolkit release I believe, it was how my friends and I duped muras and officials before dai made it easier for us lol.

Anvil Dupe - Allegedly discovered by QQMarck of Mabimods:
You need 1 upgrade stone per dupe. You also need a gem upgraded weapon, but not yet special upgraded. Open up Alissa, take your gem upgraded weapon and drop it. Pick it up. Go through your logs in Alissa and find the one where you dropped it. Test it. Now go to the anvil, upgrade your weapon. During the upgrade, drop it. Your item will be on the ground, and you should have a special upgraded version in your inventory now.
