Cabal Private Server Files/Guides

Forgot to ask, this works only throw cent os ?!

I'm willing to run it on vista if thats possible :S i didnt read any tuts yet, Downloading files atm, takes years !

I cant get WMServer working..... Bad start =(

Now i'm just wondering, if'd wanted to test game on my pc, just to view how chars look at lvl 170, and Sets, alz etc. is it wourth to fuck with this server thing ?

as it looks its not rly easy to make it working.

I get errors at WMWare already, is there no other program or software that would do same effect and get me cabal server working ?

Ok noch einige Sachen zum Verständniss:

1. Server auf Linux läuft und cabal service läuft ebenso --> erledigt
2. Win 2003 Server mit SQL Server und Datenbank läuft auch --> erledigt

Die IPs habe ich soweit richtig eingestellt ODBC.ini im Cabalserver (Linux) gehen auf die IP vom Win 2003 Server

Ich hab mir mein Clientverzeichnis komplett kopiert und dort dann den LoginPatch angewandt, und dort alle IPs auf die vom Cabal Server (Linux) umgesetellt.

Jetzt gibt es nur 2 Fragen, nachdem ich in der cabal_character_table keine Passwörter sehen kann wäre die Frage wie ich neue Benutzer hinzufügen soll?

2. Ob die Konfig (ich weiß die frage is beschissen :P ) so läuft oder ob ich noch die Ports öffnen muss im Linux Server?

Server is running :P Problem was that The Authorisation was only windows and not SQL Server and windows ^^

too early to be happy :(

I could connect with my account and after accepting the agreement i saw the server with the channels... but it looks like i couldn'T connect to the channel... ips in the configs (LoginSrv and these) are the linux server ip...

Or is this really so, that i need to try hundred times till it will work?

Ok worked also now... but yet i got another problem... when im trying to create a char i get only a error message which starts with "DB" the rest are chinese letters which i couldn't read... or to say it easier which are squares...

Damn Server is now running and creating chars is working (who had thought that on the first line would be standing the solution? ^^ ).

But there is one problem with deleting ingame Chars, it happens that the account is going to freeze then... does any1 know why?

zu deiner frage mit den ports, kannst daheim alle offen lassen, dein router hat ja ne firewall, bzw hast ja wohl net alle ports geforwardet.

I don't have such a folder like local in etc

u dont need a folder called local in /etc/

My Server is running too but only in Local Network... when i try to make it Public than i get a Error in World Svr.. Hmm i have a Router but dont know what the Problem is X_x.But look guys ;)
