brackets are way easier to spot in a lot of code.
It makes reading the Code a lot easier

did all that start with a fight to see if C# or VB are good languages?
there are no better language, they're just tools, drew said that and I can't agree more.
if you plan to continue programming i.e. to become a software engineer or one of those kick-asses computer sciences guys, then you will have to learn plenty of languages and what I hate the most DO PLENTY OF OVER TIME aka crunch time.
