Common ppl just try and read some of posts in the M8 threads or at least the guide and you will see you need to turn on the "DMA Defeats" in the L menu to activate the HP, MP and Mining functions :rtfm:

joek im wondering why it auto closes when i choose specific hp its nt even the specific number i put it closes already even im max hp can u check this?

i did turned the DMA defeat on.. lol it still doesnt work

why is ur the program on ur guide is different with mine...on mine there is no HP MP box at all

Could be a few things, alternate shapes(e.g robot) can have less HP, taking certain gear off reduces your HP, arriving in places at login or with jump scrolls causes HP to start at zero and go up slowly.
I checked the code and its works as expected, so I suspect your issue has to do with the way the game works as opposed to an actual problem with co2m8.
Careful use of the active area toggle and the pause option should help you with the problem.

If you already have characters logged in then it won't affect them if you just turn the DMA option on, but exiting co2m8 and restarting should do the job.

That because the guide has not been updated to the new version of co2m8,
