As blackout stated above, the quest does not help you you to remove the skills.

Curst Heart quest is the one that helps you to remove skills which is available at Potion Shops. Hopefully it helps.

Starter potions and returns might not be recognised by bots. It has nothing to do with item mall potions, NPC potions will be recognised.

Starter potions are recognised by ingame auto potion system.
