If I change my hosts files IP to my own IP address will it get the in-game version working again?

ive tryed your meathod, even with host file changed i get server fail

I was at work on my first post.

I went home at lunch and changed my hosts file IP to my own IP. The in-game version is working again.

Now ive got OOG working again, this is hw i done it :-

Set ini to your fixed ip address ( if you use a router )

Host you need too add your fixed ip address and next line wth your actual ip

looks like this :-
127.0.0.1 localhost
192.***.*.*** L2authd.Lineage2.com
80.***.***.*** L2authd.Lineage2.com

i think thats what Kergane was saying, i just didnt completely understand (im just stupid)

this is what my Set ini is for OOG with no luck

LoginServerIP=127.0.0.1 localhost
2**.***.**.254L2authd.Lineage2.com
LoginServerPort=2106
ProtocolVersion=551

looks like it doesnt work anymore with new (10.4.4) version

i tried :

LoginServerIP=192.x.x.x (my local adr in network)
or
LoginServerIP=85.x.x.x (router external ip)

with host file like this :
85.x.x.x l2authd.lineage2.com
192.168.10.200 l2authd.lineage2.com

and i get this :
13:51:30 ->Link LoginServer Fail.

I also noticed the bot opens a port (tcp/36xx range) and closes it immediately after, then i get the linkserv fail msg...

can anyone confirm and/or tell me which version seems like to work plz ?

10.4.2 still works, just remember to update your host file with the actual ip address

for blathy your set ini and the host files are sepaerate you need to change them both just read the last few posts, it does work for me

ok I'm getting it, tnx...sorry for being so stupid...but were is my host file..I don't have one in my walker

C:\WINNT\system32\drivers\etc& #092;host


btw i still dont manage to make it run (10.4.2 with either my local or external IP in set.ini)

it doesn't work for me.
i use a router and i want to start l2walker on my second computer.
can someone explain what i have to write exactly in the host and set.ini file ? pls send me a pm. thanks a lot.
