What you did is quite dangerous , as read below in my signature changing anything else then clothing , hair , acc , pet , skill ,face and weapons are very dangerous and I've been to many occasions where the game crashed for changing them.

You never should expect something to work like that.

To be honest, there is no problems with that.
I change my cards all the time because i don't use my cards. :)

Majority of my crashes and disconects were caused by such changes so ...
