Understanding HWID ban/ shadow bans

question.. i got perma banned on my main rig that i use for gaming. however i used my gaming laptop (that i record my gameplay from my main rig) and made a new account on that.. login and i am shadowbanned.. why would that be? wouldnt it only tag my main rig?

Unlink on activision website. You cant unlink if shadowbanned. As soon as the shadowban express you can unlink which I believe was a point of confusion for some. As soon as you're un-shadowbanned, you can unlink.

Second, replacing my MOBO, NVME boot drive and NVME game drive has solved my shadow ban issues. No more rut unlocker for me.

I had 2 SATA HDDs installed when I got banned, do you think I'm safe to connect them to the new MOBO or should I wait?

I wouldn't use the drives if -
1. windows is installed on them.
2. you had cod on it.

Also, that unlink theory isn't right.
I have loads of non shadow banned accounts that I can not unlink, while I have shadowed accounts I can unlink.

Both 1 and 2 do not apply.i did not install COD on the HDDs nor did I have windows installed. I just use them for archives and movies.

That hasn't been my experience. While shadowbanned, when I attempt to unlink it says "your request is under review". As soon as the shadowban expires, I no longer see that error and I am able to unlink. I have had that same experience on 3 separate accounts.

I have only had one account banned. I wonder if that might have something to do with your experience being different than mine.

i've only had ~200 accounts banned :kekw:
yea you'll be solid if you haven't used those drives for windows nor cod.
as long as nothing has windows registries on it related to cod.

So I waited the 15 days like everybody has been saying to after my main got permanently banned and when I tried to play a game I was playing warzone no problem for around 24 hours but then tried the next days and was shadow banned again receiving 350ms ping while searching. Is there something I've missed while reading through that is causing me to still be shadow banned? I haven't touched my permanent account for over 18 days as well. Any valuable information would be much appreciated. Thanks

playing normal or cheating?

When I was first perma banned it was for buying the warzone dm ultra skin but after when I played un shadow banned after 15 days I was just playing normally, no cheating for a little bit until I got hit with the 350 ms the next day.

So, this time when you got to play for 24 hours, was this a new account or an existing one that had been played before?

This was an existing one that had been played before back in like December for testing out cold war but no hacks or anything and that was on ps4 whereas now I took that ps4 account and used it on pc.

After the permanent ban, did you wait 15 days or did you force the shadow ban on a different account?

Im not exactly sure what you mean. I was permanently banned on an account 15 days ago. I had another account which wasnt permanently banned but shadow banned on the same day as I signed into it . I left it until yesterday so 15 days had passed and was playing fine for the day and seemed the ban was removed. However when I tried to play on the account today I was shadow banned again and was searching with 350m/s ping.

guess you have to wait another 7-14 days.

Another questions, I was buying a new pc this week anyway to upgrade parts and the only thing inside the computer I wanna keep is the power supply. Do you think I would get flagged for HWID if I reuse the power supply?
