Make a master image, start the lol setup (the downloader) this will install pando media booster and flash (after restart), install directx and finally the client itself.
Make sure you disable windows system restore since this will be eating unnecessary diskspace.
Now create linked clones of the master, this will save you a huge amount of disk space and work!
My Image is about 4.4GB big at this point, the total setup (master + 5 clones) is about 8GB -10GB.
Put the botfiles in a folder on the host system and access this folder on the vmware via shared folders.
This way if lol needs patching you just need to patch the master and clone anew, since the bot/config is saved outside of the vm you loose nothing and it's also pretty convenient to have all bots in a central place, you can also check status.ini/accounts.txt while the bots are working this way.
I usually run 4 vmware "slaves" @756mb ram while playing on my normal account on the host and I have an older quadcore wich is definitly the bottleneck here ;)

@Ghost Ripper: I've 4g ram, and I'm running 2 vmware as well, you could do 3 vmware maybe, but then you cant do anything on your pc :(

Give the vmware less ram, on a laptop with 4gb ram i had good results with 256mb ram for each vmware, was running 3 instances and watching a movie/dvd without problems.
