Why does the server onlineplayer count shows 500 the whole time haha? so the 1500 online was fake I guess? more like <1k online

I was asking myself the same question, that's one of the most things I hate when happend on a server, the fake player counter, anyway

Hope after this server maintenance there will be no longer crash ´n shits.

When it was offline last night, it was at 0. So the 1450 players isnt fake. The server is pretty active, check for ur self

That's because when the gameserver(s) crash, online player count is no more synched with the website database and will only be synched again after full server restart. We're happy with 1.5k online after 70 days, none needs fake stuff ^^

Since you are asking for proper explanation and not hating like idiots, I'll explain it to you. First of all there are TWO player counters first one is ingame player counter, second one is filter player counter. Since there's no way to access REAL player counter, we use filter based counter which basically updates when user goes on / off, at some point server can crash or we can close gameservers it can simply don't give a fuck about who disconnected and who did not and therefore filter also does not update, it's not always "500", it's random number and it can be anything.
