Tried it about 20 minutes ago, it worked for the first 3-4 times, I was eventually hit by a lag spike and disconnected, and after that, it didn't work. I also noticed that every time I started a new NAGC session, it patches itself a new ai.kom file. Could that be the problem?

yes it will patch the ai ko, then after that, you activate the hack at the gameguard. it will re-patch the ai.kom to the hack one
