Really? The old system can still work and all you need is level 5 like usual?

if u referred an acc to EUW and u were NA it doesnt count
u have to be same region

Well, I create 100 accounts, EUNordic server, my account its on EUW.
All the invites were accepted and bots are running properly.

I believe we could keep the old system for now. I don't suggest nobody to accept to change referals v 2. Doing lvl 10 bots it's a milestone really.

Is there a way to convert it back?

well every1 just lost their refs if they werent on the same server
and u go off and make 100 on a different

i opted not to convert (the fine print UNDER the large convert to 2.0 button.)
i don't know whether it's safe to bot or not, and that's disappointing because i was about to go on a week long vacation, and really rack up the referrals.
the old system seems to still work for me. i was able to redeem 36 IP boosts, and the champion skin.
However, the page detailing the reward tiers seems to be gone. i hope they havent done away with that... because then all of my following logic goes out the window.

however, i'm not sure i even want to convert, because i'm close the the Collector's Pack reward. maybe 20 referrals or so. after that, i may
but because im gonna have 400 IP win boosts, and i dont think i'm ever gonna get them.
but the ratio is crap. every 4-Win IP boosts are worth a bonus 600 IP every 4 wins, but the new system wants to give you 250? but it's an instant 250 IP..
if anyone wants the numbers crunched: 100 refs is 400 wins of 150 IP which is 60k (assuming you manage to win 400 games)
but instant redeem of the 100 refs is 25k RP today.. that's 35,000 IP you're losing...
At an average of 230 IP a game (counting IP boost, and not FWotD) it's only 109 Wins, and from there on, every win from then on is IP you wouldnt have gotten.
i don't know about you guys, but exams are coming up for me at least, and after them, i'm going to be LoLing maybe 18hrs a day lol.

i think i'll hold off on the switching to the new system for now. seems like they're trying to crack down on botting, and i dont want to run that risk. maybe im being too cautious, but it's whatever
