They aren't automatic (I dont think) When he comes online, send him one message, yes ONE message asking politely for the update and he will give it to you.
For the security, I used this hack for about 2-3 hours earlier to experiment and everything went good, no global ban or anything, people need to know that hacking isn't the same anymore and there's going to be big risks if you want to carry on using hacks.

Edit - Even better, he has a couple of other guy's helping him now so things will be done more frequently.
