Like there is a difference in having up-to-date guides and up-to-date addon.

Updating the addon is very simple for anyone to do. Acquiring the up-to-date guides is the difficult part(wihout paying).

Do you usually pull new guides from the website or from your source when you update the RXP-Guides on here or do you only update the addon version and drag the guides over from the old version? Because if that is the case then the guides might be severely outdated.

I am not saying on how I get the guides. As it is because people on here we have this current issue.

I understand and I agree but lets ask it like this.

Are the guide files the same in the previous versions as they are in the current version? If so, then that is a big issue and the guides could not be considered up-to-date, only the addon.

As for the import string. People get the string and it does not even import. When they paid it it, from their account, to their account

I would say it does matter quite a lot if one were to be using old outdated guides or new current guides

I notice now that the guides in the addon havent changed since June(oldest version I have on my SSD) so they are probably even older than that.

Updating the addon-viewer itself is a free procedure that is done by anyone using this addon(paying or not)

People come here to download the current guides without paying for them but that does not seem to be the case with RestedXP guides.

The whole format for the guides have changed now with the 50% xp bonus so the guides shipped with the addon here have lost their functionality.

Do they show up? Yes
Do they work? Not as intended.

I think you understand the point I am trying to make and I think you understand why this would be considered an issue aswell.


Edit: this is quite different than lets say Zygor guides, where we get both updated guides and an updated addon and not just 1 part of the package(the free part).

Edit2: Unless new guides can be acquired and the protection broken addon should be considered out of date and not working. But since guides have been acquired at some point in time I guess that this should not be an impossible task for you 911sky.

We are all on your side and have belief in what you do and this service that you provide.

The new guides versions have the line "#xprate <1.5" for some steps in order to activate/skip them depending on the 50% xp slider value.
So yes it is a big issue to use outdated guides because then modifying the xp slider value wouldn't have any impact on the suggested route.

Ok lets start off free. Yea people come on here to get it for free. Some of those same people could not keep quiet and intentionally caused this problem.
As for the guides not being updated. That is because the Devs did not update them.
Do they show up? Yes
Do they work? Not as intended.
Does the Import sting work, for the account and account it is used on? No.

Yea as you say, if all on my side. If that be true, we would not be in this situation.

The import string 100% works if it is used while online on a character with the same battle tag as what is listed on the account page on the RXP website, 100% of the people that had issues with this had misspelled or wrote another battle tag than what was being used while trying to import the guides.(A ticket to the customer service can update the battletag if it is wrong on the website and the imports will work again.)

This is where the problem lies and this new protection they have added and cracking it somehow, until then, no updated RXP on here.

But I believe in you and your sources, it is only a matter of time until we can enjoy an up-to-date RXP on here again, but until then please lets not claim that all is fine and what is being shipped here is the latest updated version, there is no need for that and it only leads to unnecessary discussion. Instead a message saying "working on sorting out the latest RXP version for you to enjoy." would be satisfactory for a reasonable person.

What if you import the guides and update them, then close the game and upload the addon folder? This is how weak auras work and i doubt the addon is checking your btag or you have to import the guides every time you open the game.

Now with this sorted out and the correct information out I got a message to all complainers and insulters.

Cut 911sky some fucking slack! He is doing this for free, we as the users of this service cant demand shit, so sit down in the boat, await calmly and enjoy the updated guides once they get released, the guides will not come faster because you act like an asshole about it, perhaps he might even pull the plug on this project and not release any guides at all. He does not need to to anything, but he does, because he provides an awesome service so lets all appreciate that, and if that is not fine with you then well..... You can always buy the guide instead of acting like a kid here in the thread or in PMs.
