We would like to introduce to you Sealed Vessels event, where a Costume Wing is available for the first time in the game! as well as many other exciting rewards, so make sure to not miss out on it.
The event will be coming back frequently.

Event Details:
- The event will last for 2 weeks.
- You will be able to obtain the sealed vessels through daily achievements (killing monsters in Act4 - 7).
- With the sealed vessels, you'll be able to open them in you Miniland and fight monsters. If you successfully defeat the monster, there is a chance that [Sealed Treasure Chest] or one of "Fire Devil/Ice Witch/Death Lancer/Honeybee Chest" drops.
- The "Monsters" Chest will give you one of the following: Pet, Costume, Costume Hat, Costume Wing.

This is my review of Olympus so far. Not sure about my playtime, however I am level 99+60 (max level currently) with full champion gear 60, good specialist cards and I have done marathons of every end game raid, so I think I have a good idea of what the server has to offer.

What I liked :

-The rift system. Simply the best feature to have ever been implemented on any private server. It solves the age old problem of farming spots being limited by channels and maps by creating a time limited instance of a map with just you or your party.

-Overall quality of life. Many annoying and tedious aspects of official have been either removed or massively improved. A few examples are : can craft up to 999 items at once, upgrade windows not closing after upgrading, automatic safe betting with target rarity, mass perfection upgrading, raid boxes labelled and named after each raid...

-Custom features. It's extremely impressive what they have managed to implement in the client. Auction house, achievement system, notification system, raid and farming reports, warp system with personal and public warps, specialist wing swapper, pity system...

-Game balance changes. Many things that were either complete shit or extremely busted have been buffed/nerfed and this has made the game much more enjoyable. Many partner specialists that are useless in official are now mandatory for raids because of how good they are now, and all specialist cards are viable and fun to play.

-Extensive daily system. There is a very long list of daily rewarded activities with actual good rewards, which leads to most raids being actively played and a nice reward for farming in a few different places everyday.

-Free playing is viable. You can play on the server without spending a single cent and still have a very good experience. Anything in the shop can be traded with players and farming gold is not egregiously bad like official.

What I disliked :
(Note: official nostale also has those, however they will never change)

-Game design is hostile to group play. Outside of raids, farming in act4 and group leveling, there is no incentive to play in a party as you are actively punished for doing so. Thankfully the reduced experience gain in a party was removed, however this only benefits group leveling and experience sellers. Playing in a party automatically means loot has to be split between each player, or is shared unequally. This means nobody farms in a group since it just loses money and anyone with c55 gear can farm every endgame map solo.

-Raids are boring. Cuby is a better raid than any of the act7 raids and it's not funny. The last good raids are Zenas and Erenia, everything after is room with lever > room with boss. It's especially boring since those raids give the best rewards and therefore are done in marathons. The challenge then is not the difficulty of the raid but not falling asleep.

-Elemental typing is an issue. While on paper it's cool that water attacks deal bonus damage to fire enemies, it also means you do less damage if you don't use the correct element. Up to here there is no problem, however specialist cards are tied to a single element. This makes it so you are restricted to only playing specialists with the advantageous element when farming and raiding, the exception being debuffers (destroyer, berzerker, dark gunner). That means some specialists are simply not played at all not because they have bad kits, but because they happen to have the wrong element. Currently this is the case with fire specialists, as there is no end game boss with a water type.

Conclusion :

Olympus is the best nostale private server to ever exist after vendetta by a long shot. Honestly it doesn't even feel like I'm playing on a private server but more like official nostale with mods. Server population is very healthy and the staff listens to players. Monetization is not predatory bullshit, new content comes out at a good pace. Most of my issues with the server are with the game itself, and I can't think of anything olympus has changed that became worse than official, and there is actually hope they will change the issues I and others point out. However the team is not 500 people with a massive budget, so waiting is to be expected.

Overall, I'm very happy I found this server and hope to see it grow.
