Your IO port is the same as your console port...

S console.port:4515

S io.auth.ip:127.0.0.1
S io.ip_address:127.0.0.1
S io.port:4515

Change your IO port to 4504

You did not post your auth server .opt but I would almost bet your port is wrong in your auth opt just like it was wrong for your game server .opt

You need to set your io auth port in the auth server .opt...

S io.auth.port:8841

Same as your port called out in your .bat launcher

After you have started both the auth server and the game server has started completely make sure you issue the server init commands in the auth server console window.

start_service and press enter

set game.open_external 1 and press enter

Not running those command will also cause connection issues.

Are you sure there isn't a box behind the server selection information that you can only see a small part of?

If you just cant select the server you did not type this command in auth correctly...

set game.open_external 1

It must be typed exactly like that, copy and paste mine if you would like but syntax is super important.

Basically the servers are running but you have not properly set the game open to public connections, So all connections are denied without error.

You know your server selection screen shows the image for 9.1 and if you are trying to use the 9.1 client it probably will not work.

The authentication changed for 9.1

The game server is an 8.1 game server without a lot of client resource modifications made it is geared toward running an 8.1 client.

ok ive tried to go back with 8,1 and now nothing works lol i guess ill give up for now

Hey guys I have a weird issue with the CaptainHerlockServer.exe . My changes aren't taking affect from GameServer.opt once I've recompressed it. It still tries to load the old server info while it doesn't even exist anymore.... Where does it load the info from? Just the GameServer.opt ?
02/11/2015 01:13 ThunderNikk#329
When you compress the gameserver.opt it becomes the gameserver.eop

If you are failing to compress the gameserver.opt then it is reading the existing gameserver.eop

Make sure you are running as admin and compressing on C: drive I heard someone else have trouble trying to run the compressor on a partition although I am not sure how much of that is true.

If you want to check if it is working remove the old .eop to some other location and see if you create a new one while dropping the .opt file on the compressor window.

Thanks. Yeah it was just being weird. It finally ended up working. Looks like deleting the eop file is the easiest way.
