Totally agree with you. Just look at Brazil's match. Obviously Brazil has never been a defensive team but, playing that tactic was like committing a suicide. Once they get the control of the ball they all just rushed into the other half of the field trying to score a goal. No organization, no defence, no preventive covers...and everyone knows how it ended.
I know ( I played football till my knee got fucked up and I reached the 3rd division in Italy) that playing such defensively could not be good for the viewers, but I can ensure you that keep that kind of defence for 120 minutes requires a lot of organization, sacrifice, and energies. It's harder to keep the outcome of the match to 0-0 than score 2 or 3 goals.

Good example was last nights match, Argentina had it very well organized, Robben had no space and NL had 1 chance!
On the other side, NL had it also very well organized and Messi didnt have any space, it was an awfull match too watch but both teams gave little space and kept it compact, that is also a form of football.
Argentina won and they deserved it based on the chances.

Germany isn't that strong as you thing guys, Brasil is weak, Lost 10 goals while they score only one, that is about weak deffence of Brasil, non a power of Germany imho.(They have only plan A, pass the ball to Neymar and make an advantage) Ofc,the favorite is Germany, but Argentina will rely on Messi' skills and probably there will be penalties, cause Argentina as an also Germany deffending' pretty well works. If Argentina will win and Messi will score, we will know who's going to get again award for player of the year..
