spanish forums too, so ALL the posts are to see the download or the thread (u can hide them) like "Thanks", "Good job" or spam, u will never see nothing like "u could improve that if u change...." or "that is a bad way to make it, u should do....". the only reason why i stay there is because is my native languaje, and because here ppl really enjoy say to the ppl "Stop using that crappy source" (NCOs) lOlQuote:
Chinese conquer communities that originally released the bins are a perfect example of this. They all required a post to view the download link/attachment and it resulted in threads filled with random emoticons and nonsense.
All caring about the community and stuff, yet you're willing to be a 'leader' of a section that keeps things apart from the so called community.Quote:
Threads like this[Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...] are what make me sad about the current state of the CO community. Everyone hoarding their information and at each others' throats about it. What actually prevents me from coming back into CO at all is the lack of information being public. To do it, I'd have to go and figure everything out myself from when I left to now which is quite a lot and I don't have the time to do so. Someone let me know when all this super secret information that any person with reasonable assembly knowledge can figure out becomes public.
The issue is the system as it is now practically prevents anyone new from being shared anything. A revised setup with people willing to share would change that. While it wouldn't be entirely open, it'd be far more structured allowing people to strive to be a part of something rather than piss in the dark and hope they hit the spot.Quote:

Excuse me if I misinterpret, I'm kinda tired.
and me? :rolleyes:Quote:
Ok so revising the list once again,
If anyone has an objections/further suggestions feel free to contribute.
Remember there are 2 groups. UG and Lv2. Ideally, to appease the people who want the secrets safeguarded so well, Lv2 would probably be the best place to dish them out as it'd be the "most exclusive" section. There'd have to be a reasonable way to get into it though to make it fair for those who don't have it though. If people would rather UG be the place for it, doesn't matter. Either way.Quote:
Well when I see that list, what I see are the currently active 'respected (somehow subjective obviously)' members from the conquer online section. Personally I wouldn't strive being part of that group, because I know that by the time I would be able to compete with them Conquer would probably be a dead game.
The standards of such section should be lowered (people like Jacob should definitely be on the list in my opinion) or there would be no difference with the current situation since all those people most likely have contact with each other already.

Perhaps UG as the lowest, getting in is done through peer recommendation:
i.e. IAmHawtness post's a thread "[New Member] NAME", the people who have access to the section give their input about the person, whether they think they should be let in etc. A democratic decision is achieved finally through a vote (though a poll in the thread). The end result is then submitted to the administrators by the leader(s) of the section.
Lv 2. on the other hand would be peer-recommended from UG and would likely contain more 'keep-safe' information among the developers. We could also have some sort of standard "test" developed for people who're considered for Lv. 2.
