Carl held a nice presentation, showing the progress of the company, and we discussed and voted about various details on where to go and what to do. (It’s more a progress up until that point) We picked November 11, with the unofficial tagline “us too”. It’s the same date as a few other games and movies, and the one I’m the most excited about is Skyrim, so that will be a nice reward for me if we actually manage to hit that date! And, in case you want an update on Minecraft: We’ve been working on finishing up Achievements and Statistics for 1.5, I ran into some issues with JSON, got frustrated, and added weather instead. Developing new features like that is what I enjoy doing the most, so I ended up covering a lot of ground. There’s periodic downfall (snow in snowy areas, rain in others, nothing in deserts) that make the sky darker, hides the sun, moon and stars, and makes everything wet. Ice grows back in cold regions, and snowfall covers the ground when it’s snowing. During rain/snow, there can be occasional thunderstorms with lightning. I haven’t finished the actual lightning bolt yet, but everything else is fairly done. Once the stats are done and the weather has been tested through, we’ll release 1.5. I’m guessing this will be next week. The piston mod might get added, but it will not be in time for 1.5.

Was ich darraus verstehe:
Das Vollversion von Minecraft (wenns gut geht) am 11/11/11 erscheinen.
Das es in Beta 1.5 Regen und Schnee geben wird (nicht überall).
Wenn's schneit wird da wo das Schnee landet Schnee geben (i.wie logisch).
Das in kalten stellen Eis geben wird.
Und das es Schnee mit Regen geben wird.

Anderer Link ging gerade nicht, bin mit meinem iPod on.

Die Beta 1.5 von Minecraft steht für kommende Woche auf dem Programm und allerlei Features sind geplant, die das Spielgeschehen ein wenig intensivieren sollen.

Hinweis: Das Wetter im Video wechselt übrigens NUR so oft, weil es hier im Video demonstriert werden soll. In der normalen Spielversion wird es länger regnen und natürlich auch seltener. Gleiches gilt für Gewitter. Blitze können übrigens tatsächlich Dinge entzünden – unklar ist bisher, ob der Regen das Ganze dann direkt wieder löscht, aber die Vermutung tendiert ganz klar dahin, wenn man nicht einen aufgebrachten Spieler-Mob vor der Tür stehen haben will.

Finde das mit dem Wetter ziemlich doof. Mein Spawn ist in einer ursprünglich verschneiten Zone. Mittlerweile habe ich in unzähligen Spielstunden aus den schneebedeckten Hügeln und em vereisten Meer eine Großstadt gebaut, bzw. bin dabei. Wenn jetzt plötzlich alles wieder einschneit wäre ich echt angepisst darüber. Wenn Wetter, dann mit der Option dass mans ausschalten kann.
Sonst wär ich dafür doch gleichin die Wüste gegangen wo 1A Wetter ist.

hej0 wird es für 1.4 nichtmehr geben. Die Canary-Mod führt die hey0 weiter, ist also die Fortsetzung.

Ein genauer Termin steht glaube ich nicht fest aber soweit ich weiß sollte der patch nächste Woche kommen.

Heute soll 1.5 kommen, zumindest sagt es Notch & die Spieler auf einigen Servern.
