Ye it works on Mac, but you have to restart the game on your Mac and start it back on Windows every game, because the client on your Mac closes as soon as your Windows pc gets in a game.

It's what I do already, launch client on mac, then bypass launches windows client, i get in game, the mac client closes after like 5 mins and the Vanguard event prevents me from getting into the gameQuote:
