Full servers die a few months or even weeks later and you lose all your progression. This is the best type of server we can wish for.Quote:
It's so sad to see such a good server empty. The server is play2win, the quests are good, the editing is very good. But it seems that all silkroad players prefer pay to win servers that are born and die in 2 months.
very few legit (not non bot 'legit', I mean legit as in real players who want to play silkroad properly) in sro these days. servers pay for guilds/unions to join, then the casual sheep follow where they think is the next best thing, spend half a months wages and rinse and repeat.Quote:

Tbh I can't even blame the owners who open and close servers every few weeks as it's worked so well for years. I'm just surprised from a player's perspective that people still fall for it and complain about it when it's so obvious. Besides Aeternitas, I know of 2 other servers (NGE and SRP, both empty) that are truly free of pay2win stuff, and I mean truly free of pay2win, not like 99% of other servers that claim to be play2win while offering premium, devil spirit, res/dmg/def scrolls, etc and then say "yeah, but we nerfed stats from 10% to 5%". The same thing is happening now with the term "non-bot" where owners claim the server is non-bot and then offer highly functional macros. I don't blame anyone for playing on such servers, I just don't understand it, especially since there are serious alternatives.Quote:

I'm not usually the kind of guy who even has an epvp account, but I made one just to reply here.Quote:

Anyway, I invite everyone to visit Aeternitas who is looking for a real Play2Win and non-bot server!
I do understand your points and agree with you up to some point. As I said, I blame no one for playing the servers they do, but it's really weird how often you hear that there are no decent servers and only greedy owners for the quick money, while there are a few stable servers that don't try to milk you. Even if these are not the servers that people like to play on, it is the type of server they ask for when complaining about other servers, it's somewhat paradox. I feel like SRO community doesn't even like the game they want to play.Quote:

I don’t play Silkroad anymore, but I still follow a few servers and check out what people are working on.
Honestly, I’ve been thinking about why certain servers don’t really go anywhere, especially the ones you mentioned. Might sound a bit rough, but most players just aren’t looking for non-donation or non-bot servers. That’s just how it is.
Like, take NGE or SRP. As far as I know, they don’t let you donate for silk. NGE is basically a PvP server, that 110 cap version with barely any changes. Why would that be interesting to people? Time’s flying, and players want new stuff to mess around with.
SRP had some hype, yeah, but just like NGE, it didn’t really offer anything fresh. Same gameplay, no real twist. Then people wonder why players hop from server to server, it’s because the one they just left had nothing special. Just another race to max level and then nothing to do.
Also, your server says it has “unchanged base gameplay,” but you basically reworked the whole class balance. That’s not really unchanged, is it? Feels the same as servers calling themselves non-bot but adding a macro. Doesn’t add up.
Not trying to be a hater or anything, just being real. Players won’t stick around unless you’ve got a name, you’re paying them, or the content is actually something different.
