Most of the stuff he mentioned wasn't mentioned by him on our Discord-Server, but it's true that our community is very active in giving us tips, on how to change the gameplay and how to address bugs they encounter. But there is still the Classic idea behind this whole project. Therefore we can't address every mentioned tip without carefully discussing and considering all the eventual back draws the following steps we make could have and how they could impact the Classic feeling.
Just to clear things up.
The so-called bravery Cape bug happens when the mobs were lured by another player to the place and then lose aggro. It's not a bug happening by the time you use the cape, but it's because of how the aggro switch and the lure mechanic works in this game since the mobs aren't at their "original" place. So sometimes you hit a group of mobs and they fall into the state of moving back to their "original position" instead of attacking you. This happens sometimes and isn't correlated to the bravery capes.
Next on the list, is the thing with the shaman skills. This never occurred for me, maybe it's a display bug in the tooltip. But I will give it a test on the test environment and compare it.
Next on the list, and this is the part where it gets funny.
Yes, the attack speed and the movement speed are capped. Those were capped on the official Servers back then. Most servers who try to get rid of the attack speed cap, fail, since the hits don't get registered correctly, and you actually miss some dmg instead of gaining it.
But let's put this to the side and talk about the major thing some guys need to understand. The skills were never intended to make you broken.
The best example to bring up in this discussion is Dragons-Aid. This skill will give you a major Crit chance boost for the cost of only mana!
You don't have to invest in any potions, nor do you have to switch crit chance into your equipment. Most guys love having a buff char since the free crit chance is really nice! But if we are honest, you can get a 110% crit chance without even having dragons aid buff. So just because you can gather resources in this game that you can use for making your character stronger doesn't make a skill useless. If you got the skill you don't have to invest in other resources (dew's, waters, bonus, equipment...) like guys have to do by the time they don't have a shaman with dragon's aid.
Back in the days, you stopped skilling berserk at m7. Here we are on a private-Server-environment and you got some boosts from our ingame drops. There is a big range of green potions available since they drop from event chests etc. This allows others, who don't skill berserk to reach the same attack speed, and yeah looking back at this with the knowledge from today, it seems broken to give out green potions so often.
Now changing a Skill, in the way most guys want it to happen, like giving berserk a piercing chance or a crit chance is in no way classic. And this is not considered a bug. If we change one skill, we would have to rework all skills and this would be no where near classic.
This applies to the skills, which provide movement speed as well. haste+4, added bonus in for example earrings, 2 biologist quests and many more ways to get movement speed buffs. If you got the skill, you don't need to invest in those resources.
The sohan-lungsam issue, yeah that is our fault... We mentioned it, we fixed it one time, but after applying another patch it reworked itself and we forgot about it by the time we prepared the summer and beginner event.
Sorry for being quiet the last few days, but it wouldn't be the best idea to write an answer to them without calming down a bit :D
Have a great weekend. And keep your heads up!
