Editing DDS Files (How-To)

Well, im not very good at this sort of stuff, but the clubs file is whip.club, the different .dds images in the file are different types of lvl of club, for example 480139.dds is the 115+ clubs. Hope that helped

Also! for people that are good at editing the effects, ive found cyclone! shadow is the images of cyclone and shadow2 is the .c3's

When i edit the club files it messes up and causes like a cloud of smoke sorta thing around the clubs. The armors are ok and working fine its just the clubs =)
EDIT: btw, I've read some of thise thread, its a pretty big thread lol, when i do the dds files its at the 2d Texture which was mentioned earlier, saying i should have that selected and not cube/volume. Still doesnt work lol

Btw, its the same sort of problem im having with archer armors too, the wings tend to mess up in that the black sections appear on the wings. One sec ill post pics lol.

Any tips? I'm using photoshop to edit these with the plugin for .dds files. The 3ds max and psp progrmas wont let me open them so ive been using this. Should i use one of the others to gain the desired effect or maybe im just doin something wrong. I've got one last thing to try with the archer wings that ive not had time to do yet.

ok normaly when the efect changes or go's to that freaky box thing it is when the file isn't there so in saying that maybe u have just saved the file wrong or moved it to a different location.
(edit: no this is not the problem cos now i am getting it i don't know what to do:( )

i'm not to sure about the wings but it could be that id normaly has a transparent part and you have colored it in or something. because the other part of the armor displays so yeah thats strange.
(edit: this could be the same problem with the wings if i am right)

also has any found where they keep the lvl 110 trogan armor?

can someone tell me the dds file of the trojans lvl 100 armor :D i want to make some wacky things for it ^^

sorry i don't know where that is i am still trying to find the lvl 110 female troj armor :( no luck yet

I dont think their in the c3/textures folder.

Only armors i know of thats in there are 120 male/female all classes
and
107/112 male/female archer coats. I think their the right levels lol.


EDIT: yea that ARGB worked for the clubs, thanks.
I also found out how to fix the wings on the archr armors lol, just save it as DXT3 and it works.

nice, lol i think i have pass them so many times and just ignored them lol thanx alot

(Edit: where did u find them files and what do i need to do to get them to work, because they wern'tin my textures folder. i found out after i made a real cool one and nothing happend!)

Btw, the 110 tro armors are NOT in the texture folder. They have to be put somewhere else. Hopefully he'll tell us where he got them lol.

yeah well i made this real cool as armor color but i don't know what it will look like yet lol so i just can't wait :P
