private servers were always cut-throat business. one that makes something first will always be attacked by others wanting same at no efforts. i can understand its hard to give away stuff you made for free, but i think thats the only way of stopping all attacks. more servers with same quality less attention towards 1 server. another problem is popularity. if one server becomes way more popular than others, greedy bastards will try to disrupt and make chaos in that server in any way they can think of. in this business you cant own patent for what you made, and saying "look we have super delicious cake, but fuck you, we arent telling the ingredients" will always cause anger and they will try steal it. So... unless you have shit loads of nerves, people to support you, iron defense against all ddos, hackers, and other shiters you better decide what you want, fame and ruined server or good server and credits somewhere along the history :)
