conquer probably wont shut down, they would like to make as much money as possible without losing too much (who doesnt?). so they made a patch that they knew people will be outraged by. thus said people will quit the game (most likely non-db buyers) and they will have empty servers. the servers will then be shut down and they save money. the db buyers will probably keep buying dbs and they will have more money than before. after that i cannot predict as anything can happen.
