C# Poll

Agreed with Korvacs. Anyone can learn to use a language but it takes time for any language to be able to make something that is stable. The way I look at it is if I only used C++ for years then would be able to make something that's quite stable. If I used C# for years (You can see where this is going)

I could also go as far as to say everything is unstable...... Unless..You know how to use it.

c# and other .net languages might not be the safest onces , if you want to protect your code, since you can decompile them into IL Code which can be transferred into high level languages again. Also it's not as good as c++ when you want to hook processes or want to make programs that are made with strong relations to the depending hardware, but still it's stable as long as your code doesn't look like what you leave in the toilette.

Korv/bone/null/others are all correct.

It's a great language but not ideal for pservers really. It's not unstable or a really BAD option for it... it's just not ideal.

if you know what you're doing with any medium/high end programing language then you can make a pserver that is perfectly functional and quite good.

Seriously, the biguest noob in this topic, it's you... Korvacs, bone and a few others are for sure better coder than you. bone doesn't like C#, but he is not enough stupid like you to say that the language is unstable. Each language has some defaults and some advantages.

Obviously this thread is going down the "you all are dumb" path.
So what about a few points proving the "this thread is retarded" point:

1- C# is portable. Microsoft may have developed it and well added a few stuff over the standard (ex. ASP .NET, ADO .NET) while C# and .NET are actually ECMA/ISO standards ([Only registered and activated users can see links. 2- Garbage collection.
3- No class/object definition specification/order.
4- Variables auto set to default upon initialization.
5- Type-safety (although that can be a pain in the ass sometimes, but it's there to keep everyone safe).
6- Delegates.
7- Anonymous functions.

Pretty much what I could think of right now, maybe someone can probably add up what I have forgotten.

I don't use C# as my main language. I use C/C++.

The language is only as stable as your code is.
