vb.net is ur best bet i know i'm a noob poster but vb.net combines all the programming languages :bandit:

im just going on with C#

since if VB is combining all languiges it probably wont be very stable and it will be too complicated to learn all at once...

If you want to read packets there is a free sniffer its called Ethersnoop here is the dl link

it also allows you to filter packets so you can read only the ones that interest you, also has a great interface
