Well if he gave a guide then you could easily fix the mistake. Blocking their IP's won't help you much since there is something like proxies. Atm your whole host is unlocked (mhm) and I was wondering how long will it take for it to be hacked again. Get a better host company, leave the Ubuntu and find someone that can deal with web servers, because if they can manage to hack your main page, they can get to a user-log and from there get any pw of info they want.

just alittle exploit they use and upload shell.php :)
