5071 is the patch before talismans, the reason I chose 5071(thanks to cptsky) is because it has the new composition system. But no talismans.

Yarr there are only really the two systems. One w/ progress and one that is either all or nothing.

New one is infinitely better imo.

Why would you choose MySql?

With MySQL, you can make system that saves the character's information with every action it makes. It's more efficient than if you tried to do it with a flat database. It's what my server uses too.

Think he meant, why not MsSql, and performing an update whenever something changes is nothing new, personally ive been using a system like that for years.

I've never heard of MsSql before, what's that? o.O
09/09/2010 22:28 Korvacs#28
Microsoft Sql?
09/09/2010 22:30 Arcо#29
Hmm,care to elaborate on that?
Is it more efficient than MySql.
What're the Pro's and Con's?

MsSQL has intergration with visual studio to start off with, and it just generally has better performance.
