Is this a bannable offense?
how long has anyone been doing this?
07/20/2010 06:41 DeliciousPuke#17
Well it works, unlike the old method.
I'm really happy to have this, but I'm still a bit sketchy on if I can get my mule/main accounts banned D:

I mean, launch client.exe directly, skipping the patcher, by adding this to a shortcut to client.exe.
Code:
code:1622 ver:60 logip:208.85.108.15 logport:11000 chatip:208.85.108.18 chatport:8002 setting:"file://data/features.xml=Regular, USA"
For example, mine looks like this
Code:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Mabinogi\Client.exe" code:1622 ver:60 logip:208.85.108.15 logport:11000 chatip:208.85.108.18 chatport:8002 setting:"file://data/features.xml=Regular, USA"

to Hacker, "Show details for all processes" It's in the description. Please read next time around.

what are you talking about? theres no description telling that o.o

after clicking ctrl+F I type FV, and NOTHING APPEARS, as in NONE, same goes for devcat.
and not all forumers who register means their complete noobs, who dont read, so dont assume that.
I read every post here, and I followed it, heck I even checked every single file on the list just to see if its on there... None. And yes I checked teh description of Client.exe

I just close the handles that needs to be closed.
Just double click on Client.exe and go to the Handles tab. The 2 handles you need to close are highlighted.

Multi-client Guide for vistas and others
Same ways as the Process explorer, but you have to use Process hacker
1. Open Process Hacker
2. Launch the Mabinogi Patcher
3. Press Start on the Patcher
4. Quickly Launch another Mabinogi Patcher
5. Go to Process Hacker
6. Press Ctrl+F
7. Type FV into the box
8. Press Search
9. Right click on the highlighted text and click Close Handle
10. Go to search box, type devcat
12. Right click on it and click Close Handle
13. Close Process Hacker
14. Press Start on the second Mabinogi Patcher
15. Enjoy running two instances of Mabinogi at once!
Note, If you're a vista.. Go to Hacker, "Show details for all processes"
See the "Note if you're a vista.. Go to hacker, "Show details for all processes"?

I just posted another picture of where Hacker--->show details for all process is...

Does this method work for a x64 based operating system?

Do the handles show up if your client is modded?
Example: Moonshine, Nogiparty, ect

Because those are the only problems I can see that mite not make this method work.

The windows API used for enumerating handles does not work when being called from within a x32 bit process in a x64 bit operating system.

Plus hear windows 7 x64 can see handles but if someone can confirm this that would be cool.

I have Vista Business x64. It works fine.

You don't have to be modded.. I tried the tried this both ways it works for me.. I'm a 64 bit user maybe you're not using the same version of Process Hacker as me?.. I posted a link of another one that works better. (Look back in my recent post) If you can't get it message me

Well I was thinking about mods for other people including myself just in case of more misunderstandings or bugs along the way. I over looked that other link for process hacker. I was thinking that the first one from the tutorial was updated because it is version 2.0 and the process hacker later on that you posted is version 1.11. So I just got vexed and figured it was x64 again.

Thank you both for clearing that up.
