Thank you for such comment, attention is being appreciated from our side. We are trying our best since our first server start. Yes, that may already be a red flag for somebody, but here is an explanation: We had our own host machine. It was old selfbuilt server colocated in datacenter. And sudenly we ran into an issue -> SSD where we handled all the data, collapsed. As you may know, SSDs are unrecoverable. But during these times, when our server was online, our main developer made a huge progress on updating engine. So now we have some sort of solid base. At the current moment here are 2 servers in development:Quote:
To be honest, I feel like the tone in this thread has become a bit harsher than it needs to be. Questions about transparency, endgame content, or the long-term vision are completely fair – but at the same time I think every new project deserves a fair chance to prove itself.
Especially when people are working on something like this as a hobby, there is usually a lot of time and passion involved. Personally, I always enjoy seeing new Rappelz projects being started, whether they are hobby projects or something more serious for the long term.
There are a few things I’d genuinely be curious about:
- Do you already have an approximate timeline for when the server might launch?
- Is there already a Discord server or another place where the community can follow the development?
- Do you have any ideas yet about the planned endgame content (for example additional dungeons, raids, or other long-term goals)?
I also think it would actually be great to see a few early screenshots or short videos of what you are currently working on. Even if things are still in development, it often helps the community to better understand the direction of the project and get a feeling for it.
Many players have probably become a bit cautious because a lot of servers in the past disappeared quickly. That’s why transparency and small development insights can really help build trust with the community.
In any case, I wish you good luck with the project.
1) Inferno 6.2 (no dura gear, old UI, all the shit)
2) Ice Maiden (no epic, some sort of different Rappelz POV from main dev; more likely WoW / ESO / NWO experience)
Yes, we have discord server, where we are sometimes pushing news about progress, feel free to join (PM for the link)
Even after we lost everything, we are not giving up and trying to improve. We love this game and want to make something good and memorizing for community
