Make sure you have the following settings enabled -

Opera GX -
  • Developer mode ON

Tampermonkey (inside manage extensions > tampermonkey > details) -
  • Allow in incognito
  • Allow user scripts
  • Allow access to search page results

Tampermonkey (inside tampermonkey) -
  • Config mode: Beginner

Once these are set, it may take a minute or two for Opera to identify the changes.

To do -
  • Choose a suitable non-premium username color (currently #6eb5ff) that doesn’t visually conflict with the premium color (#0099ff). It doesn’t bother me personally, but if a lot of users use it, it likely will bother some. Possibly an off-white.
  • Redesign the Quote, Quote+, Edit and New Reply images to better match the dark theme.
  • Apply theming to the Games page (does anyone even use this?).

Known issues -
  • Trade values conflict with userbars and usergroups, so they’ve been assigned fixed colors: green for positive, white for neutral, and red for negative. This will be addressed when I have time.

In theory, this should work on Firefox without any issues, but it has only been tested on Chrome.

📢❗🚨 iOS (Safari) Compatibility 🚨❗📢

iOS (Safari) Setup
  1. Download Userscripts from the App Store
  2. Open Settings > Safari > Extensions
  3. Enable Userscripts
Add the script
  1. Open the Files app
  2. Go to On My iPhone > Userscripts
  3. Place the attached (below) .js file inside that folder
Enable in Safari
  1. Open Safari and reload any page
  2. Tap the icon in the top left
  3. Tap Manage Extensions
  4. Enable Userscripts
  5. Press Done
Activate the script
  1. Tap Userscripts (below Manage Extensions)
  2. Select ElitePvpers Dark Mode (iOS Safari) (the text should highlight when selected)
  3. Reload Safari
Done. Dark mode should now apply automatically.
