Considering the networking stack, we likely are talking if at all, about DDoSing the proxy pools not the actual game server since they leverage their own developed Quilkin (in collaboration with Google) which is their non-transparent UDP Proxy.
So player connections all are routed through the proxy not directly to the game server.
And since the game servers itself are deployed in Kubernetes clusters.
And especially since there are a dozen of mitigations steps by design.
I'll be quite surprised if some individual consistently manages to disrupt the proxy.
I heard whispers about internal IPs leakin through in early access stages, but even that I'll take with a grain of salt.
