There will be a nice summer event and a new summer location! Will be fun fo sure !
A lot of new content is being worked on to give a nice endgame feeling with full partys and challenging mobs.

Launcher has a trojan in it.

No, it just got protected using themida

themida protected files (I do protect too my own projects with) won't threaten antivirus.

Anybody played on custom source build clients would notice that. You can try by yourself: Compile launcher (source public available) and pack it using themida (public available even cracked versions). You will get literally same result

Would you upload the exe file you created to virustotal?
If you add a digital signature to your exe, it will not be seen as a virus.
There are multiple ways to bypass the virus indicator.
If you delete the digital signature of the original rappelz sframe and put it in virus total, you will notice it.
Rappelz eventually reads, writes, processes files and accesses certain parts of the computer.
Let's think about it, if someone knew how to write a virus, you would not notice this virus.
Even if you create it without protection from the source, it will be automatically detected as a virus after a while.

Duh, I was curious what type of trojan would appear or if there are any loggers.

Launcher has next changes:
1) Modified XOR key (recompiled kfile library from Arcadia framework with different szResourceEncodeKey

2) Some variables like DEFAULT_START_PAGE and DEFAULT_UPDATE_SERVER and some others which I can not remember

Launcher compiled as Release (without xtrap) and got packed using Themida 3.2

Then it got signed as galalab.kr, using GalaLab official certificate from 2012/08/25

I don't want to explain it more. The best thing you can do is to try it by yourself. I just give you a guide how to reproduce this "virus"

I hope this is more than enough to explain all the "virus" issues and this topic will never appear here again because I am tired of it

I am familiar with all that you said, and just to be clear I don't think its a "virus" I just saw someone's comment and asked him for a virustotal since I didn't wanna download the server to see myself. packing anything even a text file could be flagged by the system, I always turn off windows firewall, as a developer it's an obstacle while developing files and source code.

anyway I recently tried the server I have some points to clear.
1- server is well made, the rates and npcs are all good.
2-classes are balanced but pet classes seem op which is a good thing since pets are hard to get anyway.
3-events are good but sadly as a week of playing haven't seen any event active.
4-players aren't doing reborn anymore so its hard to find a party as a new palyer.

overall its fun to play here, I didn't have to even check the cash shop to see what's I'm missing.

Thank you for response and such review. Indeed here is no event because I am against events 24/7 (While here is already chronomage salamander and koala exist as permanent event, you just go find them and kill to get a reward)

Also currently I am working on huge summer event with different activities, so here will be one big event later

I totally agree that events should be on a set date aka "holiday" or "weekends", but sadly I've been playing for almost 2 weeks and haven't seen any events.

the chronomage salamander blessed me with cooked potatoes buff that restores 100mp every second.

I've been going through the discord and saw previous events handing literally tamed t6's to players while I'm here running with a staged orc.

It's probably because I joined the server late "about a month after start", and I get that. But really rooting for a patch upgrading to 7.3 it sounds 7.2 doesn't have much to do since I already hit r7 and there's no more to go for except upgrading 160 gear. no new dungeon or master class to set as a goal. it seems the server has hit an end here for most players that's why it has ~5 online every day.

You got unlucky, some people received ruthless r7 items, golden ingots or ultimate belt upgrade kits. Some were unlucky more than you -> got debuffed for 30mins

There will be a big summer event in the next weeks + the server will get a new dungeon for better endgame. Check out the lv 160 gear system. It takes really long to max it out. So you have more to do then in all other old epic servers. I play it from near beginning and can tell you that this server is one of the best ones from the last 5-6 years. The players are waiting for the event and the new contect. There we always 30++ players and also 40+ was hitted. They will come back online after the new things coming out

This server gave me a nostalgic feeling from the early game.
Inferno is beginner-friendly and can be played solo at the beginning really well.
I think the balance between progress and pure grinding is very good.
I would also like to inform you that they are also listening to the players in order to improve the server. The team is always helpful and tries to solve things quickly.

I think the endgame idea is really great and special.
You can spend weeks or even months improving your endgame gear. A really good and smart system.
Implemented into a system that was already in the game, but not for this purpose.
Simply brilliant.:cool:

Some key facts that I really like:
- Reborn system (3x which unlocks special buffs
- Ethereal awakening system for lv 160 gear.
- rebalance of creatures (more pets are really useful creatures now)
- active and passive events (great ideas)
- Dungeon teleport NPC with farmspots included
- increased mob density in Farm Zones
- skillcard boxes opening through NPC
- autosell at NPC
- reworked Secret Temple of the Exile (it has more rooms now)

Something that I want to add:

I've played on a lot of servers in the past. Unfortunately, I had to accept that most of them are VERY VERY P2W. Monthly fees for a HV pass for getting all buffs…. :facepalm:

You won't find that here!:D
You can easily farm the HV pass. It takes 10 minutes in the R7 area.
