Agreed it's kinda faster than the original version, Thanks for this.

What would have been cool : to set up a list of what each .ini and .ani extract,
like 3dobjectinfo.ini = extract all the .c3 files of the effect folder.
3dtexture.ini = extract all the .dds files of the texture and effect folders

Just a suggestion though..

I was just interested in learning the file structure, so i made this to do that, im now working on a repacker so that theres no need for both the .wdf files and the folders.

This one also utilizes the latest .net framework, so instead of taking forever to extract one .ani file or one .ini file, it will extract an entire .wdf file in under 2 minutes.
Yeah, yours is like 100 times faster than Sparkie's, heads up though to Sparkie for starting it

Anyone have any objections to this replacing the existing sticky by sparkie?
04/20/2010 21:43 Zatoichi#22
nope, was just coming in to suggest it actually, rofl.
04/20/2010 22:32 DragonHeart#23
Just replace it, about time.

Problem:
I've tried selecting WDF and extracting c3.wdf to a folder i made in program files, I also tried selecting "ini" and extracting 3dtexture to the folder in program files. But what ever I try, I get an eror message: "Could not find any files to extract, please confirm te file you selcted is valid, and contains entrys for extractions." Pretty sure I checked all that.
Any ideas on how to fix this?

Is this for the conquer online client? If so i need to know which version your using.

Edit:

Just performed a test extraction of c3.wdf from the latest client to a folder which i created and ticked "overwrite existing" and its extracting without any issues.

Edit2:

Completed extraction, no errors.

I'm using te latest client, I have WDFExtracter.dll and WDFExtracter in the Co folder. When I start up the extractor I selected c3.wdf as the target and I made a folder to extract it to. I checked "overwrite existing" and when I click extract I still get the Could not find any files to extract message.

Thats abit odd.

Do you have the 4.0 version of the .net framework?

Which OS are you using?

Have you tried with administrator privilages?
05/24/2010 17:47 Jăy1029#30
I am the administrator, I got win7 64-bit and yes, I have .net framework 4

Edit: Thanks for the help Korvacs

For anyone having the same issue that I was. Which was, everytime I clicked extract I got a message that said "Could not find any files to extract" You need to right click WFDExtractor and click Run as administrator and vuala! You're extraction has begun.
