Help changing client files

Just use Grimoire to write changes into the data files of the 9.6 client instead of using the resource folder

I'm trying but I'm trial and error because there is no manual or I can't find it from Grmoire. Export the Localinfo.ini file, modify it and insert it again without deleting the old one. This is correct? Thanks a lot.
