I never see the boss myself. But your method is interesting.
I can attack the boss using my character and the boss still drops items. The battle is finished in 1 or 2 turns.
And yes, it's still working. I just fight the boss minutes ago.

maybe on AOR you got item drop, but on NA no.
I not playing AOR anymore, so I haven't tested on AOR after patch.

Just tried it a few minutes ago and still drop items. It's the same method I use in AOR.

May i know the X & Y coordinates for spooky boss?

Btw, it seems the gate for valentine event is still working on AOR (it asked for the key when i tried to enter it), so may be the boss is also there too :D not sure how to get the X,Y location tho
