You shouldn't need to update the source to use a co2 client, just add some of the new stuff from 2.0 into it.

Back when 2.0 was released, people were able to connect just fine to the 1.0 server using the beta 2.0 client. You will need to change some small things but between 1.0 and 2.0 the login encryption and packets didn't really change.

You will obviously need some status effects and packets for things like cp, handling for new stuff like bless/enchant/tort gems and stuff but in general you won't need to change much in the source.

he's right though. You should definitely be using 2.0 as a base. You will have alot better luck adding the new things to it. You can change the user interface back to what 1.0 has very easily and still end up with a much better system.

I`m not just talking about skill graphics, the quality of the models seem a bit lower in 1.0 IMO (I might just be hallucinating though), and the numbers are IMO a lot worse.

Graphics are rendered differently with the two versions, to me the graphics in 1.0 are a bit "stone age", the way characters jump makes me cringe. lol.

2.0 wins hands down for me, even just 1 version after the switch is fantastic.
I did like the ability to change direction during a jump though.

Yes the graphics are much better in 2.0 (again, i'm talking like 1-2 patches in. Not down the road)

Still before even Cps were added (cause remember, cps were not added as a currency until SIGNIFICANTLY into 2.0, the just had the icons and stuff for it long before).

2.0 will work far better with any modifications and additions simply because there is more in the client! Much of the base functions that 2.0 has now was added at least on some level back when 2.0 was first released. It took them YEARS to start utilizing ANY of it (hell, they still don't use probably half the shit in the client).

Again, up to the thread starter... 2.0 will work sooo much better though.

wheres the point just make a eo server and implement conquer stuff O.o

As far as I know, eud servers are all based on binaries (are there ANY public eud sources at all??)

Therefor adding anything other than just basic items would be incredibly difficult... that means no jumping, no conquer skills (at least not as they currently are in conquer... I'm sure you could do some work around though), none of the existing systems that are in conquer.

Also you'd end up with a bin server meaning it would be full of fail anyways.

There are public sources.. But don't need them, just find it out myself xD
