Great and waiting

It could be possible that you waste a lot of effort into these files and get quite low outcome. Nowadays ppl don't want to play a "fair competition" anymore. As soon as you will release a server everybody will try to cheat your ruleset:
- ppl will bot
- ppl will exploit
- ppl will ddos

In the end you might spent quite some time to fix stuff and the community will simply fuck it up within a few days.

I get your point, but as I'am advanced into stuff like that, DDOS and Exploit will almost be impossible. With a good hoster and a well written filter, alot of stuff is possible and I already fixed all known exploits on old files possible ;) (Dupe bugs, multiply spawning pets, dc bugs)

OFC I'm no machine but why not trying out ;)
Maybe I can bring back some smiles to some users who really missed the old stuff ^_^

1. No, bots will not be allowed. It should be the same as official sro back then.
2. There is no bot available for this client except build in autoselect, except really old bot369 files maybe but this bot is not public anymore and it was not for free.

I played JSRO and sro6 servers, i had a lot of fun and thanks for that.

It was sad you shut them down bcuz of a few players.

I think shutting down the server was not because of bugs, mistakes or end game content, it was because of your kindness. You always wanted to be friends with players as GM but it shouldnt be like that. Players always want more, they always find something to complain. You already know this but couldnt do anything about it. I hope you'll be more careful about it this time.

About botting;

I think botting is part of Silkroad, i can prove it in many ways.

Since many players interested with playing Origin Online, a lot of non-bot server already opened. One of them is running without donations and one of them is coming with sro-r files.

-Origin was successful because it was first to achieve on blocking any kind of bot tool.

-NGE is running without donations and owner took action to block any kind of abuse. He closed the register system and he is giving login id and password himself to players who has phone verified discord. It seems like he is doing his best with less players but strong community.

-Sailor will probably success. I dont even have to explain since it has sro-r files. But anyway, It has in-game bot-ish, a lot of different things to do while playing and etc.

So whats the point of creating this kind of server again?

ADVICE:

I dont know much about coding and i dont know if its possible but what if its possible to combine bot allowed server and non-bot server?

In character creating page there should be a option to define that the character will be a bot char and the char will be tagged with BOT title...

RULE-1) Bot chars cannot wear JOB&PVP suits and cannot join FGW, FW, CTF, BA and others.
RULE-2) Bot chars cannot do quests.
RULE-3) Bot chars cannot do alchemy.
RULE-4) Bot chars only allowed for botting and selling items on stall.
RULE-5) There is a mirror map just for characters which has BOT title and if a char with bot title is botting outside of this mirror map, it'll get banned.

Characters without BOT title:
These type of characters can do normal quests and daily quests to level up. Also it can train in normal maps. You can join any kind of event and activity.

RULE-1) These type of characters cannot enter the mirror map.
RULE-2) If you use bot on this character and a player reports you, you will get banned.
RULE-3) ...

I hope you wont go for non-bot server. Im pretty sure everyone likes to check bot in the morning if it dropped sox items or other shits.

Why i cant play if im working or i dont have time like no-lifers has? How should i catch no-lifers?

I've been desperately trying to find a server with this announcement.

And definitely no cosmetics,
You need to look the way you do,
based on the gear you're wearing so that other players can tell.
The rewarding feeling will be on a whole other level that way.

I doubt such dreamish server exists but it's worth asking anyway.

Assuming there's no starter items, silk store, 1x rates as original, then im sold.
I would donate monthly to keep this rolling, if we can have that equal gameplay, then yes.
