Check if you might have an firewall turned on. Check if you might have any backdoor torjan running on that port or any other kind of software listening..

use "start - run - cmd " and then "netstat"

Using L2Walker 10.6.0

Executed L2Walker Verify Emu 4 times.
One with 5001 another 5002, another 5003 and the last 5004. and started.
Execute L2Walker 10.6.0

Login... and...

-> Verify Fail.

None of the emu's has any log entries.

PS: And YES I have edited the hosts file.
PS2: Im trying to use this with a pserver (DuneL2).

Well, maybe this works for the official servers, but does not authenticate for private servers.

IGW1.31

Code:
Connected to 127.0.0.1:2151
Bad request
Connected to 127.0.0.1:2161
Bad request
Connected to 127.0.0.1:2162
Bad request
Connected to 127.0.0.1:2163
Bad request
Connected to 127.0.0.1:3000
Bad request
Emulator started out at port 2151 and at every verify attempt it acked with "bad request".

Looks like the old walkers use an old verify. But the problem of timo...

Timo, what happens if you do: run, cmd and then "ping vip5.tt2xz.com"
12/15/2005 14:10 aaaax#20
But still, if you get a

"GET GAME DATA FAIL", be carefull!

C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\Et c

<!--QuoteBegin--hosts

127.0.0.1 localhost
127.0.0.1 vip.tt2xz.com
127.0.0.1 vip1.tt2xz.com
127.0.0.1 vip2.tt2xz.com

[/quote]

I get response for localhost, but not for vip5.tt2xz.com.

OMG I hate this kind of bug/errors. Damn windows...

EDIT:

I have tried to add other hosts to see if its works:

e.g.: 127.0.0.1 rofllolololollele.com

but im not getting response, why is this happening, is my hosts file being ignored or something?
12/15/2005 20:25 aaaax#22
Timo:

this is really strange... it looks like that your network setup has some sort of problem. Ensure that the file is called "hosts" without any .cfg or .txt. Like you wrote with the rofllolol.com you understood the function of the hosts table file.

What happens if you do ping localhost?

Do you have any firewall running like Norton Secure, Steganos, Keerio Personal Firewall?

Becouse in such programms you can block all but some ports even for the local device.

thx a lot for helping aaaax.

After some research I found out what the problem is...

OMG... the worst of all has just begun!

It some time ago I had installed another Etherned Card, I bought a new one because the one before "broke".

When you install the first time a network card in your pc, windows creates an "Local Area Network", but when you buy a new card and plug it in, Windows instead of using the "Local Area Network" creates an "Local Area Network 2". And here is where my problem starts. The new created "Local Area Network 2" uses the same IP as "Local Area Network 2". Windows warns you that this can end up in trouble. But i have to use the same ip that I once configured for the card before.

Now my question. Is there any way I can make "Local Area Network" (1) visible since the card is not physically avaiable to me. So I can delete "Local Area Network".

Thx in advance.

EDIT:
"""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""
Ok I found new info, when you go to System and open the hardware panel, there is an option to show hidden hardware and I can see that there is still my old network adapter. ut when I want to delete it, Widnows says "You can't delete this blba since its needed to run windows". And I was like WTF?... Well I keep on looking for solutions...

/cry

Damn allready formatted, but belive me I tried everything. I searched the whole registry for the driver deleted all entries until some I could not delete they were write protected, I deactivated WFP Windows File Protection to delete driver files that were being protected and a lots more.

Thx a lot anyway, I apreciate it.
See you around the forum ;)

PS: Sorry for talking about something that had nothing to do with the post.

Edit: It work's now :uglylol:
