OpenNos is run by a 16 yo team, they do it to study and this is enough to reward them. If you go back in 2014 then you will find a lot of open source projects on my part.

What you said does not make sense either, I said you're not supposed to live from programs you sell on epvp, I never said you could not.
If you do then that's your life choice, that does not remove any credit to what I said, it would be better if devs posted open source programs.

The few € you get could be donations, just sayin', but you gotta do what you gotta do.

Opennos team is older than 16. Personnaly i code only for fun. my real job (because yes that's my real job exactly like chucktheripper) give me enough money to eat. Each member of the team have different goal. I think everyone is Free to sell or give things everywhere. Opennos is free because I get exactly what I need with it.

Nothing is really free. So exactly like systemx64 I get something from my project. Some people want money other just need to have fun that's a personal choice...

The only thing here is that I'm not sure that the community will find anything to do with your software. Its a real cool soft but when 95% of the community is not even able to make a launcher or read a readme file im not sure that a simple way to get 3D model and edit them will be useful ;) if I were interesting in private server(I don't care about private server I just care about opennos dev) I think this soft will be really usefull. if one day a server decide to change 3D models or even make its own maps it will be a real good server.

Edit : donation don't work ;) in about 1.5 years on opennos we only get 1 donation for the project. People here don't give money just to support you. The only way to get money is to give them something in exchange

And ain't quite expensive? I think 3D file structure has been released few times in this board if I'm not mistaken, alongside some parsing tools? If not I could search on my HDD and release my old 3D parser source written in OpenGL, I think it does the same as this release but with "crappier" interface (muh documenting files and not making pretty tools, shame on me).

Your pattern function was unable to localize groups in some 3d model. It got removed and now the tool is able to open any model.

This tool is free and always will. My products are generally free. This does not mean that I should also release the source code. As I am repeating many times, I have lost hours developing it and a small contribution does not hurt anyone.

Normal people do not have to worry about, developers can instead make money by reselling the finished product.

This version is not complete, the tool will be able to render textures and insert/remove new models or edit existing ones.

Actually I would edit some Models and create some new ones and I don't think that I'am the only one whos able to do that. The only part that keeps me from doing that is the Terms of Gameforge (Copyright part). As long as Gameforge is having the License for NosTale in Europe I'll probably only use 3D Models from NosTale for creating Trailers or Artworks.


PS: @[Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...] I'd actually like to know from where you got the 3D Model of the Character, as far as I know the normal Characters are not 3D Objects, thought these were Pictures from 8 Sides of the Char.

What you can see is a statue not a character.
