2 Cd keys out of one ?

can anyone confirm this works or did ever work? I've seen this on other forums too and pople warned its a scam. They said people try it, it doesn't work so they send their original unregistered key to the person who postet it, who will simply steal the account... What reason is there it won't work if you register the original key first? A key is either valid or not no matter in what order you register it.

How can be this a scam if you dont need to send out your cdkey... No one can do magic.

of course you dont have to send your key to anyone but I read somewhere else that people tried it, it didnt work and so they did send their key to the person who postet it so he would create a new key for them.

However... I was just asking if anybody can confirm this works. I didn't try it yet and I'm not gonna buy a new copy of the game just to find out. And I really don't understand why it makes a difference in which order you register the keys...

Ocourse its a scam. Sending the modified regkey to scammer so he can fix it is real dumb. He can reconstruct the orig key from it. Look at his instructions how create the 2nd key and reverse it.

If anybody would tell you to jump out of the window, would you do it?
If you send your key away (why someone should do it ever, if it still dont works then it dont works) then your supposed to take the consequences for it.

this method has ALWAYS been a scam. this is NOT the first game nor will be the last game you will see people saying this for. the way it works:
they tell you a process to modify your key to create a second key thats supposed to work and give you their email in case it doesnt or you need help. people try to mod their keys and the result WILL NOT work since creating a key cannot be made this way, keys are made through complex mathmatical algorithims. so the people send their altered key that doesnt work and the person just unalters the changes he told you to make now he has your key. why else do you think he claims you cant do it to a key thats already registered? its so he can register the key for himself. also the person who posted their key on the forum didnt exactly think that through before posting their key. i just hope it hasnt been registered yet by some idiot and you can still reclaim it.

I.E. THERE IS NO WAY TO GET A SECOND CD KEY FROM MODIFYING AN EXISTING ONE! dont fall for it, its impossible and if you look around youll find people claiming this for every online game you need a key for, its always the same scam.

Where exactly is the scam if NO CD-key has been sent at all? The word scam in combination with CD-Key includes the fact that a CD-Key actually changed its owner. None of this did happen here.

No one asked you to send him/her your CD-Key. No one steals anything here. You can try the method. It might work for you or it might not work for you. But in any case... you've not lost anything, nor have you send someone your CD-Key.

However... as this has been developing right into a flamefestival and besides the threadstarter no one confirmed it. I'm unpinning it.

all I wanted to say was that I've seen this before and people warned it's been used for scamming, so I was wondering if anybody could confirm it... No offense.

It is confirmed to be nerfed/never worked,
not as working.
