I think this is just a myth like the dura trick. Some people tried it and got lucky. Prolly would have gotten the drops anyways. I tested this and didnt really see any difference other than carrying more mets than I care to while hunting. Sounded cool tho.

this is just not true, it's based upon luck
like today i hunted for half an hour at slow apes. got 7 mets, +1 club, +1 coronet, +1 trojan armor, elite shield, ref boots

lol well u guys keep pickin on people who bring hope of something new to these forums, i think it' sort of makes sense, and just for that i'm gonna take a db and hunt for maybe an hour and see what i get. :D

u know when u hunt u get junky items in the start and longer u hunt better items u get ..

Hopefully a lot of archers will do this in pheonix lol. Cause then my herc will be tested on them and then i will see if this works- jk :) Ill go on archer also....bring some unik/ref as us aid and ill see. But i really dont think it works to tell you the truth cuz i think that this is my pattern: 1st hr of hunting you get crappy stuff- maybe 1-3 mets and lots of ref n maybe 1 or 2 unik. Then 2nd hr u get a loet more mets, 2-3 unik. 3rd hr you get good stuff- elites, a lot of emts, a lot of +1's, etc. Btw i think this is also random since i only hunted 3 hrs for like maybe 3 or 4 times in my almost 2 yr CO career lol.

drops r completely random, just because you are already carrying ref/uni items and mets doesnt guarantee better drops, if it did than loads of people would've discovered it by now and it wudve gotten patched.

yea i think its random too, i th ink it goes by what items YOU FIND not what items that YOU HAVE in your inventory...

Well I tried it, took a unique and refined item with me. I ended up with two mets, a handful of refined items, a unique bow, a couple of 2 socketed weapons, and the second +1 I've ever found in my 2 month CO career. Also it seemed like I got more gold than usual (and I was following my usual money collecting practice - picking up gold and leaving sycees/silvers), judging by the time and amount of arrows I spent.

On a normal hunting trip in the same area I'm usually lucky to get a met or two. So maybe it works. I'll have to try it a few more times to confirm. In retrospect this was just after server maintenance and some people were apparently having problems logging in, so maybe I was just getting good stuff because there were fewer people online. That might be another tip - hunt right after server maintenance :)

i dont think it has anything to do with what u have in ur inventry, ive just come back from inactivity on the Spanish CO and have hunted past two days, not even whole days, and i now have 52 mets and 10,3mil and still have 3 +1s and 2 elites to sell.

All started with NOTHING in my inventry but this is just my experience.

Thought I'd follow up on my experiment (because any good scientific experiment demands confirmation by repeated trials) and post that I tried the same tactic again today and didn't get as lucky with the drops.

I could be on to something about hunting after server maintenance though; maybe good stuff is more likely to appear when the server is less crowded.

Lemme ask you guys. Have you ever found something elite/super in a spawn right after maint? Nope, i have nvr found any. So, according to my years in playing CO xD i can say that a spawn gives out ref>uni>elite>super, in this order.So if someone finds a elite in that spawn, high chances are that if you hunt at the same spot for long periods of time, you will get a super.

ive tested it on my archer and i got thes same amount of good stuff on both the time i spent hunting before and bringing those items..

so not convince ... but if it works on your side.. then congratz..
