You don't need to signup to start developing.

Need to signup to commit your changes to community.

Get the source code and follow the readme to build, run and start the game.

If you get there, try playing and look what features are missing in server (like level up or money calc for example).

You can start making a list of missing features.

start developing the features.

Fork project and commit.

fyi, I'm already coding the economy and will eventually start coding drops as well. Though I didn't merge in the offline-support commits, maybe I can cherry-send the class. We will see.

If you know c# go ahead and help with this too when you have the time : [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]

making so called "server" for nfsw its a waste of time...you cant build a server that config the game client...you can only make an "response" of nfsw client requests...frist time i thought its the real deal...but is not..sorry but im out.i can only help adjusting/adding new stuff in the game client.good luck. Im out.
If you need some one to add cars/new kits/aftermarket ecc...im in...but for building just a script for game response..its a waste of time.

uhh... client still requires responses from a server just to play the game.... let alone patching the client (I'm guessing this is what you mean by "config the client"), which is a different system. So you should be thankful that we can still play it when we want to...

To mod the client, you have to patch the client files manually, or automate it by a patcher, or reverse engineer the official launcher.
But to do that, you'll have to learn about offsets, hashes, compression, dll injection, whatever knowledge you need to get the job done. EA BB has their own way of doing things...

An interesting thing to note. (showing the importance of the offline server) is that the different hashes the server responses and clients use are the same number. Just represented in different number systems.

Hey, if it helps, it helps.
As a modder, I understand the value. (even if I don't know understand server side stuff as well :) )

I got a copy of NFS:TS cached files ("client" side) half a year ago after trying to get it for like a decade.

Other than oohing and ahhing at the textures and the java classes, I can't do much, (ie, port it to NFSV) since the mesh is in an abandoned closed format.

That minds me though.. cause I'm still transitioning from Zmodeler1/2 to Blender... I really should take the time to find a Blender tut gear towards Zmodeler users.... hard to find time to do it.
