[HELP]Register Script

That wasn't my point. Wamp4 is using an OUTDATED version of apache and php modules. Usually when things are updated their updated for a REASON, most times its because of a security leak and/or issue with the current module.

So why would you then get someone to download an OUTDATED version of something. Not only is it useless, it opens them for what ever leak/issue was fixed with the update.

Once again I go onto the point of using an OLD version of wamp useless. You can take the newest wamp, and import the mysql4.0 to it. It would then keep your php/apache up to date aswell as enabling you to host an eo server.

i can provide you a few scripts that will works for me perfect and will refuse to work for you because newer versions doesnt support it

they dont only bring out updated to fix stuff
they bring out updated to change stuff to

a few examples

php 5.3.X = no more magic quotes , it got complete removed out of it

apache 2.2.X = no more php 4 support , is removed out of it

apache 2.0.X = php 4 and php 5 support

it is not that they bring out a update that it is better

so you should know that the scripts that are written for php 4 and php 5.2 and php 5.3 are all differend because of the stuff they removed and other stuff they insterted

they just asked for a solution , i provide them a solution that works and doesnt give problems

who cares about security and bugs if it is just for a register page (damm, now i got trouble again that my register page goes down for 2 seconds because a sql injection on it ?? )

see mysql version , why does eo works on 4.0 with out a bug ?? and refuse to works on 5.2 ??
why does wow works on 5.2 and refuse to works on 4.0 ??

5.2 is more updated and got a lot of fixes but it isnt compitable with version 4 to fix the bugs in it

they just asked a solution to get there register script to work
provide them a solution and they are happy

ps: last funny thing
if they dont know how to put a register script online , then you cant expect that they can do security and manaul edit on the apache files eather , so just keep it easy :D

You have valid points, but we shouldn't release stuff just because it's "easy" it should also be correct. As for your mentioned sql injection, if you know what you're doing and/or a decent coder, you can make sql injections a minor issue.

Don't get me wrong, we will never beable to fully stop people from finding ways around security, but that's besides the point. Either way they go, they can get a working register script.
