I've been tryng for hours that version and the first release, using Hamachi, changing IPv4 and file paths, but when I start that "start-UPD.bat" just doesnt show up and I dont even know how I should do with "Launch soapbox.exe" shortcut.

I need an step-by step readme, sorry guys :(

"It's for developers, not for noobs yet."

I do not want to criticize you! Your (and the others) work is excellent! The only problem is the lack of information and/or the "appearance"!

I understand you're a high skill developer, but may there is some other people who's have no skills! If you release something without any information (for a noob) your work useless.
My opinion to create a minimum (readable and understandable) informations is not longer than five minutes!

If u have no idea about from this, here is an example:

1. Take a few eggs.
2. Break the eggs.
3. Mix the eggs in a bowl.
4. Spice to taste.
5. Warm oil in a frying pan.
6. Pour the eggs when the oil is hot.
7. Bake it & Enjoy it!

But may do you like in this format (I'm not sure):

"A few eggs break mix the eggs in a bowl spice warm oil in a frying pan the eggs when the oil is hot bake..."

It's not the instructions, it's different environments.

This version is just one jar to play offline.

Just a double click in start-http-xmpp.bat file. (Just java, no python, no rand.exe, no antivírus alerts)

And create a shortcut to the game.

I'm fixing some jar bugs and soon I will deploy a new release.

About readme and instructions...

I'm working on the project hard to make a readme like this:

- double click and have fun.

If you compare this release with the source project, you all will see that is mutch easy run this jar than make full environment to compile.

One sad thing in this forum, I'm reading and watching ppl that got how to run and don't help the newbies.

You all have the offline version, don't need this.

It's a multiplayer scratch full of bugs.

To host multiplayer private servers, need to know about networks, and that is a huge problem with different environments.

So expert guys, plz help me helping the newbs.

Plz hackers, help me with udp project.

Plz devs, help me with http project (or berkay fork http project for too)

I will stay offline, but reading all the troubles, to fix it asap.

Great, that the "Master of Programming" speaks. To be honest: I'm sry to cry like a child, but I was really confused, when I read the Readme.

But through the help from another 2 persons, I get it, what to do. Maybe just make the readme a bit more like a cooking list (just like howtocheat wrote). :)

But I'm also thinking that it is a "really big project" and it isn't easy as a programmer to tell "noobs" what to do. There are steps you made, we even don't know in hundred of years. :D

Well, the game isn't working, but I see in the future and hope, there is someday I can play, like the others here (which have a working game on their computers). Maybe it is a Java-thing on my PC. Biggest thing is the errorcode 5. :)

But I will try to give you a short instruction what to do:
1. Load the server from this site.
2. Click on: start-http-xmpp.bat with right-click to edit the "start-http-xmpp.bat":
3. Type your ip instead of the other two numbers at the end of the first line. Save the changes.
4. Click on: start-udp.bat (Should open in cmd-window)
5. Not you must open cmd-windows: Click "Start", Execute and type cmd inside and click enter with your keyboard.
6. In the first you put: soapbox-race-1.1.0.jar
7. In the other one you put: soapbox-udp-1.0.0.jar
8. Then you start "Launch saopbox.exe" as Administrator
9. Now the game should normally work

I hope that helps so far at the moment.

Problem is: My game doesn't work. So if you have suggestions, than tell me. :)

Hi , i managed to start the server , log in with 2 players , yet we can not see each other or race

One more thing , Soapbox.exe it's just a shortcut what is soapbox.exe and where i can find it ?

Edit:

Found it (it was cracked version of nfsw downloaded from first thread)

Works great managed to play 1 vs 1 on same machine (i am at college right now and my internet is proxy blocked can't make a proper server)

@[Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]: Well, you need the file from this thread (see first post from Nilzao). There's also a Readme inside and the files. :)
Step 3: You must edit "start-http-xmpp.bat" and replace the 2 numbers at the end with yours ip.
Step 5: Just open a command-window (it's a black one with white font). You know how that works?
06/01/2016 16:35 Candice23#29
I downloaded soapbox-race-server-1.1.0.7z. Where can i Find my ip?I don t know how cmd works... Just open cmd and write soapbox-race-1.1.0.jar and soapbox-udp-1.0.0.jar like in nfsw offline sever clip?

I get this error "C:\jogos\znfswbkp\NfswData\Data\soapbox.exe The specified path does not exist. Check the path, and then try again."
06/01/2016 17:01 nfs_fan#30
You can find it taht way: Open cmd-window and type: ipconfig Then press enter. You need the Gateway-IP. Replace it in the start-http-xmpp.bat file.

To open a cmd-window, just click on "Start" on the left side below at the desktop and type in the field: cmd and then press enter. :)
