I agree, but I guess that could be partially prevented with some kind of encryptions... But even then, nothing is 100% secure.

Flatfiles (ini or whatever u call it)

Can be FASTER than SQL is.

You can use the BinaryWriter /Reader to Read/Write Data Thats like 3% faster as MySQL depending on your System.

A mysql DB is just a Flatfile too just another syntax and allocation.
