Alright. After almost a day of not paying attention to it, I decided I will reply on this thread to clear the air. I will address everything that was targeting me and I will explain as well as I can.

What most of the players wanted was the ability to attack servers that are still vulnerable. Obviously I could play cool and give everyone the packet that was used to perform this kind of attack, but I said "sorry, I cannot make such a thing public". A developer who doesn't do things only for the credit will care about the consequences of his or her actions too.

Also, shen1l could have shared the packet instead of a video. He wanted us to see his cluttered computer and his personal packet editor (as if he's the only one to have one) so we understand how smart he really is. I know he can do things, he didn't have to waive it in my face like that.

1) No, he didn't. He's been at this for years before he came public, and while his knowledge is very vast, I can assure you I excel in more development fields than he does. I don't care if people know about my knowledge or not, I don't do it for recognition. I don't do it so my friends can jump into a "Oh yea ? But my friend can beat your friend at X-language" fight.
2) So what ? I never even needed them. The first word that has always came out of my mouth when I heard the word "pet" in a Shaiya context was "bullshit". You can't seriously compare an ep6 (or whatever it is) client with the client of Shaiya Invasion (ep5.4). I'm sorry, you guys. I have worked with a lot of clients, and having a pet and a costume (which we had too) is NOT the most important thing in Shaiya. Yea, it will attract some attention for a while, but in the end, players want pvp. I myself learned this the hard way when I started coding random junk instead of improving players' pvp experience.
3) He sells things for cheap. Can't hate him, really. I'm not even selling anything anymore for over 14 months now. I have had plenty of customers back in the day, everyone was happy (turns out not everyone, read below).

Regarding shen1l's PayPal screenshot from 3 years ago. I honestly don't remember this happening, as I had dealt with a lot of people. I also remember charging way less for the FFA script. But that doesn't matter right now. What matters is the accusation. How the hell could I tell someone that a script will work for both ep4.5 and ep5.4 servers ? That's insane beyond limits. But sure, let's pretend I did tell him that. Why did he never come to me ? "Bro, you're script dosent work, the fuxx i payed money for???"

I have had customers who messaged me even last year telling me that they want to migrate from ep4.5 to ep5.4 ps_game, which requires a remake of all server scripts. As I mentioned before, I am not selling anything since the end of 2014, but I did remake the scripts to work with their new files.

I also had people message me lately about things they want me to code for them. I said my usual "I'm not selling anything anymore" and when they asked me who can, my answer was "Juuf or shen1l". So yea, I even reference people to you, if that counts for something.

I do realize I was a bit rude in my first reply on this thread and I apologize for hurting shen1l's feelings, but I ask you to understand me too. I release a fix for a hack that was pretty bad. I've had admins complaining to me about it for quite a while. Some of them couldn't even sleep because as soon as they got in bed, the attacker would strike again.
And what does shen1l do ? Sure, I'll just explain everyone how to do this thing.

treica, I kinda like treica. He's being really helpful, especially when it comes to PHP. Good job with everything that you do. We did talk before, but I guess you ended up on the other side of this argument because you're talking to shen1l.

People who think "I get bored without pets", is people who shouldn't play Shaiya and move on to another kind of game.
Who cares about pets when you're in the middle of a massive PvP?

There are games like Aion where hardcore players (with very decent computers), take down many many visual aspects of the game, just to have the maximun PvP experience. They don't care about how it looks, they care about the gameplay.

It's been years since aeria/nexon doesn't improve shaiya's gameplay, they just 'improve' they market.

So, you release an exploit that will cause all unprotected servers to be shutdown, without releasing the fix for said exploit?

If all you did this for, according to yourself, was to educate people on how it is done then you should have released your version of the fix for it too in this same thread. Since you haven't done that and you haven't even went through the minimal effort to link people to nubnesses fix for this exploit, it leaves me wondering if it isn't without malicious intent to a certain degree. How many servers will be affected by this that are unprotected, that you've sold scripts or custom files to?

I would be extremely surprised if there wasn't at least one more server affected by this exploit directly because you posted this. As someone respected by a lot of people here for being a developer, you should probably think about consequences to releases like this.

I was reading out loud in a call with nubness, I had to read the sentence "I am nobody's side" three times to understand what you actually meant.

So after following this so called "hate wave" against nubness and shen1, I'd like to step in to say something. I haven't posted anything in a few months because, I usually just read dramas and watch people fight over some stupid shit, but I just feel like I have to step in here and say what I got to say.

First of all this is not a release. As nubness said in his first post. I guess he has the right to guide someone to the right direction right? What he wrote after was mean. But you don't simply attack someone like that without a reason, do you? No, I'm pretty sure he has his reasons. And by the way, it's between nubness and shen1. So if you are not nubness or shen1 you should stay out of it. But who am I kidding? People always have to step in and say something.

nubness have done a lot of great things for this so called community. But he don't really get the respect he deserves. Just think of all the releases and all the people he have helped over the past years for FREE. I'm pretty sure most of you wouldn't waste your time on someone you don't know. And lets not forget the recent fix he just released.

I like everyone here, and our commun work, because our players enjoy playing our servers and we enjoy making them.
People souldn't have to choose between shen or someone else that's stupid. I respect shen because he fixed and released important fixes such as 5.4 Item Mall fix and thanks to him a lot of servers upgraded to 5.4 serverfiles. But I also respect everyone else such as Treicia, Juuf and everyone else.
