Cubikon farming?

Idk, but I do it with basic FE aegis, both 2 configs are max shields, on ship only lasers and while sabbing the cub I use crab formation. When cub no shield I switch to drill and with x2 and ECO-10 + PLT-2021 rockets I kill it easily. The little trick is that when I finish sabbing it I go to x2 and then when my HP starts going down I do not switch to 2nd config I use my HP ability (not the one with the pod), then switch to 2nd.. I do this because in the end I can use it again so I use it 2 times per 1 cubikon instead of 1. :p

As long as it works for you. I want to abandon x2/sab, though.

Also, I need, like, 10 shields in my drones in order to get 500k. I barely killed the cube with x1 and had to use a bit of sab(no cdr booser). Should I go for shield upgrades(all drones are lvl16) or just try to get 35 lf4(although this 500k shield config uses only 20). Or is it best to try the new* formations?

*relative to the other ones, of course

Ofcourse LF4. Damage is more important also more damage == less ammo spent which is also important. =)
